● Research Overview

Professor Yoo is a world-renowned expert in mobile internet security, mobile communication security, and quantum security, leading research on secure communication protocols in 5G and 6G networks.
Notably, he implemented the world’s first PQC-based security protocol migration in a 5G private network, integrated with the LG CNS solution, and contributed as a core member to establishing national security guidelines for 5G private networks.

• Chair of IFIP Working Group 8.4 (Under one of the world’s top-three ICT academic federations)

• Developed AI-based fake base station detection for 5G
