Codegate Global AI Idea Lab Wins 2nd Financial Security Ledger Prize and Popular Award / Information Security Lab Students Kim Hyun-min, Choi Yuna, and Baek Seung-ryul, students from the Information Security Lab of Woori University's College of Software Convergence (Advisor: Yoon, MyungKeun), won the 2nd Financial Security Ledger Prize and Popular Award at the 'Global AI Idea Lab Competition' hosted by Codegate on Friday, August 30th. The award ceremony was held in conjunction with the Codegate International Hacking Defense Competition at 'Codegate 2024' hosted by Codegate Security Forum.

Codegate 2024 was held under the theme of 'Space, AI and Cybersecurity', and Vice Minister of Science and ICT Kang Kang-hyun, Representative Ahn Cheol-soo of the Bareun National Party and Representative Lee Joon-seok of the Reform Party participated and delivered congratulatory remarks. The contest was organized to solve security issues that have recently become a social issue and to proactively prepare for possible security threats in the future. Out of the total prize money of 30 million won, the second prize of 5 million won was awarded to the winners. The topic of the idea proposed by the students was “Personal Information Keeper: Personal SNS Personal Information Leakage Prevention Service through AI,” which identifies and notifies users of personal information leakage risk words before they post on SNS through the LLM.

Meanwhile, Kookmin University's Information Security Lab is researching and developing cybersecurity technologies that analyze security big data collected in real industrial environments using various traditional algorithms and the latest artificial intelligence technologies, and is also conducting security research using AI.
