Kookmin University (President Jeong Seung Ryul) recorded an average competition ratio of 22.08 to 1 for its 2027 academic year early admission process. This represents a slight decrease compared to last year’s competition ratio of 23.84 to 1.
  
A total of 46,561 applicants applied for the early admission round, which closed at 7:00 PM on Friday, September 11, for 2,109 available spots. 
 
The program with the highest competition ratio was the Business Administration major in the School of Business Administration under the essay-based admission track, where 4,278 applicants vied for 11 spots, resulting in a ratio of 388.91 to 1.
  
Looking at the highest competition ratios by academic division, in the humanities, in addition to the Business Administration major, the Media major in the Department of Media and Advertising under the essay-based track recorded a ratio of 361.00 to 1, with 722 applicants for 2 openings. In the natural sciences, the Convergence Bioengineering major under the essay-based track recorded a ratio of 114.00 to 1, with 684 applicants for 6 openings.
 
By admission track, the Academic Excellence (Principal’s Recommendation) track saw 3,079 applicants for 586 spots, resulting in a competition ratio of 5.25 to 1, while the National Frontier track saw 10,419 applicants for 724 spots, resulting in a competition ratio of 14.39 to 1.
  
In addition, other programs with high competition rates included the Department of Education under the Academic Excellence (Principal’s Recommendation) track, which recorded a competition rate of 12.50 to 1 with 125 applicants for 10 spots. Under the National Frontier track, the Department of Visual Design saw a competition rate of 43.80 to 1, with 438 applicants for 10 spots.
