  • 11.11.09 / 최규찬

Kookmin University (President Sung Woo Lee) is going to present a conclusion ceremony for the joint degree program in Automobile Engineering with Centennial College (President Ann Buller).

Students from Canada who took courses for 2 years at Centennial College will take specialized courses from KMU’s Department of Automobile Engineering for 2 additional years. Beginning next year, we are going to carry out a joint degree program and through this, students will get the degrees from two schools.

According to the program, about 30 students from Centennial College are planning to take courses in automobile engineering at Kookmin University. The program is very meaningful because most foreign students from engineering usually only study in the west. Kookmin Univ. makes history because next year marks the first time that foreign students will come to Korea to get degrees in engineering.

Our school is planning to expand its program in attracting foreign students and granting degrees worldwide through this conclusion.
Kookmin Univ. is presenting a Centennial College admission program called the ‘KMU-CEC program’ along with Centennial College from May 2010, in accordance with immigration law. We will expand a range of conclusions between the two schools as well as the additional conclusion about exchange students and joint degrees.

After President Ann Buller visits our school, she is planning to visit Hyundai Motors and other businesses in Ulsan. President Ann Buller has been recognized as one of Canada’s most powerful women.
