In a middle school or a high school, students study in the same classroom that consist of desks, chairs and blackboards. However, now we are university students who study specialized majors! There are classrooms which are specialized for practice and taking courses. What does a Kookmin person’s special classroom have?

Dam dam won is located on the second floor of the techno- design graduate school. This is the first classroom with a Korean floor heating system. In addition, there are moving plastic doors which help people to use the space more freely. Also, it is a very modern and traditionally pure place because the plastic doors create light to spread throughout all of the classroom. The Dam dam won classroom, which means “a garden to tell a pure story” is being utilized for various classes. Sometimes, it is utilized in student’s restrooms as well.

The golf practice room, which is located on the first floor of building number 7 is a classroom for the College of Physical Education students’ major classes and for golf liberal arts. It has golf clubs and a clean indoor area, like an expensive indoor golf course. There is lots of energy from active College of Physical Education students so it makes many people want to take this golf class.

The stone place is located in the basement of the art college building. It is a classroom in which students do stone work for other students of the Art Department. It is located outdoors because of blowing crushed rock. And it has a pedestal and a pipe with an air hose for students to work conveniently at each position. When you use the stone place, the most important thing is wearing a uniform consisting of a mask, glasses and beanie that covers all of your hair, in order to protect your clothes and lungs from the fine crushed stone.

A simulated trial room, which is located on the first floor of the college of law consists of exactly the same court procedings as a real trial. So we can experience almost the actual environment of a trial. Also, this is a place where the trial contest, which is a regular annual event of the law college, is held to train professional people in the workings of the law. It consists of seats for the presiding judge, judges, prosecutors, lawyers and defendants. There are seats for people to see the contest from in front of the room. A total of 4 society students prepare a trial with each subject which is held in the second semester of every year. This is a special classroom to prepare and practice trials.

The outdoor practice room is located in Pyeong chang-dong next to the Woori bank building through the Bugak tunnel. The outdoor practice room is one of College of Forest Science students who loves forests and studying. Students sow seeds directly and study about healthy mountain forests, which help them study and measure natural forests. This is a classroom filled with greenery from healthy plants and fills the students' hearts in caring for the lovely plants.

When we go up the stairs behind the dragon structure, there is Sungkok mountain where we can look down on Kookmin’s campus. Did you know that Sungkok mountain, which is a resting place for students full of sunshine and mild wind, has also become a classroom? This is a place where professors and students can study, sit together and talk about their university course, which is teacher and students’ seminar. This is the best classroom for seeing the mountains and the school campus with a mild natural wind.

Mongwon folklore house, which is located across the road out the back gate of the the university, consists of noble house of the latter part of the Joseon dynasty originally located in Jang chung-dong Jung-gu, Seoul. This is a house where Mr. Han Ku Shul once lived. It was moved and restored in order to keep its original form on December 20, 1980. Also, it is evaluated as a folklore landmark, which show characteristics of the traditional Korean-style-houses of the 19th century. It now can be used to reproduce a traditional tea ceremony and be a life education place through ‘Da Rae’, which is Kookmin University’s cultural subject.
From a classroom, which won an honorable prize to a nature classroom, in which people study and experience nature in person, Kookmin University has had many kinds of classrooms. I think Kookmin University is an amazing place to be able to feel and experience various things in special places, which not everyone can experience just anywhere. I’m proud of Kookmin University, which is special and unique to us.
