After completing her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees at Kookmin University, Department of Forest and Environmental Systems and Department of Forest Resources (Advisor: Dong-Wook Koh), she was appointed as an assistant professor at the Department of Forest Science, Kongju National University during her postdoctoral research at the Landscape Ecology Laboratory, Kookmin University. 

During her graduate studies at Kookmin University, she conducted research in the field of forest landscape modeling and remote sensing and wildlife distribution modeling with the support of RND R&D projects such as the Forest Service Human Resource Development Project (Center for Creative Convergence Forest Science Professional Training; Center Director: Hyungjin Kim / Deputy Center Director: Changbae Lee) and the Ministry of Environment's IT, ET, and BT Convergence Invasive Alien Species Distribution and Spread Detection Model Development (Research Director: Wanmo Kang), and published a number of SCI-ranked papers. During his time as a research professor at Kookmin University, he was selected for the Lotte Scholarship Foundation and the Korea Forest Service's research competition and the Korea Research Foundation's creativity challenge.

"As a student at Kookmin University, I was able to collaborate with many professors in the Department of Forest and Environmental Systems, learn high-level forest science technology, and make numerous research achievements as a result," said Cho, adding that he is grateful to Kookmin University for enabling him to connect with good teachers during his studies.
In particular, he was able to receive a lot of support during his graduate studies. "It is a very important project that promotes the development of Korean forestry students and enables them to become more competitive in the international community," he said. and expressed his great gratitude for the project.

In addition, the research capabilities were strengthened through participation in the visiting student program at North Carolina State University in 2018 and Northern Arizona University in 2020 during the course of the degree, and he wished that students of the Department of Forest Resources would have various opportunities for international experiences in the future.
"We will continue to foster excellent forest science students and conduct forest science research to promote national pride," he said. 

It is expected that Prof. Cho won-hee will contribute to the field of forest science through her research on forest ecology modeling.
