Theori, a specialized cybersecurity company, announced on Mar.7 that it has concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Kookmin University (KMU) to nurture future vehicle cybersecurity talent. The agreement ceremony took place at the KMU Innovation & Partnership Building on Mar.6 and was attended by Pak Se-Joon, CEO of Theori, Shin Sung-Hwan, Dean of College of Automotive
Engineering, Lim Se-Joon, professor from Department of Automotive Engineering at KMU, as well as Kim Jong-Chan and Jeon Sang-Hoon, professors from Department of Automobile and IT Convergence at KMU.

This agreement aims to contribute to the development of the domestic future vehicle cybersecurity industry and the cultivation of talent to enhance the security of future vehicles by integrating cutting-edge IT technology. KMU provides expertise in the cybersecurity field and accumulated educational capacity, while Theori is responsible for producing and supplying the educational content.

Theori offers lecture content using the cybersecurity education platform 'Dreamhack'. Upon completion of titled 'Dream Beginners' (beginning level of security), 'System Hacking', 'Reverse Engineering', and 'Embedded', KMU students can earn credits. Affiliated with the Convergence and Open Sharing System (COSS) led by KMU, this agreement seeks to expand its applications to other universities, including Keimyung University, Daelim University,

Sun Moon University, Ajou University, Inha University, and Chungbuk National University. Pak Se-Joon stated, “I appreciate that Theori can offer educational content about cybersecurity to several universities, including KMU” adding, “I will contribute so that students can prepare their security capabilities required in fieldwork.”

Shin Sung-Hwan, the head of the University Future Innovation Group Next-generation Communication Convergence and Open Sharing System (NCCOSS) at KMU, expressed “I appreciate the composition of the cybersecurity education program for future vehicle using Theori’s cybersecurity educational content.” and emphasized, “We can contribute to nurturing convergence talent by integrating Theori’s educational content into KMU’s formal education curriculum.”

Meanwhile, 'Dreamhack', the largest-scale security education with over 44,000 members, provides diverse educational content from beginner to expert levels. Major IT corporations such as LG Electronics, LG CNS, Dunamu, and Woowa Bros are also actively involved in enhancing cyber capabilities education and leading the development of education and curriculum for nurturing high-quality cyber talent.
