Community and Culture Design Studio's exhibition 'Bukchon Empathy' Poster

The LINC 3.0 Project of Kookmin University (President Jeong Seung Ryul) announced that from March 26 to April 3, Professor Mi-Sun Jung of the Department of Cultural and Spatial Design at the Graduate School of Techno Design and the Bukchon Urban Regeneration Support Center will present the exhibition "Bukchon Empathy" at the public hanok in Gahoe-dong, Bukchon.

The exhibition, 'Bukchon Empathy,' will be held on the theme of understanding and coexistence with the regional development process that represents modern Seoul. It is particularly meaningful in that Professor Mi-Sun Jung and her students in the 'Community and Cultural Design Studio' class collaborated with the 'Bukchon 365_Lab' to develop cultural design contents for the revitalization of a convergent community, and prepared to meet the audience by participating in practical community activities.

Bukchon, the main subject of the exhibition, is a space where someone's home, neighborhood, and tourist destination coexist, and we wanted to connect different perspectives and elements surrounding Bukchon, not just a beautiful spot with traditional houses, and take a second look at the various aspects scattered within the hanok village.

The exhibition 'Bukchon Empathy' consists of the works 'Bukchon There', 'Uncover Bukchon', 'Coexistence for Coexistence', 'Soundscape of Bukchon', 'From Bukchon, to Bukchon', 'After Bukchon Sleeps', and 'Play in Bukchon! Through these works, the exhibition aims to shed new light on Bukchon as someone's village, and to find a way to connect the residents and tourists who stay in Bukchon and understand and empathize with each other.

The exhibition, "Bukchon Empathy," will feature not only works that allow visitors to understand Bukchon culturally, but also various experiential exhibition programs that allow visitors to participate in games, listening, tasting, etc. to empathize and understand Bukchon.
