The School of Engineering, concluded MOU with University of Indonesia for academic exchange

The School of Engineering in Kookmin University (Dean: Jae-gab Yi) concluded MOU with the College of Engineering in University of Indonesia for academic exchange on January 10th. For this MOU, the party visiting the University of Indonesia was set to attend the International HVAC-R Workshop that was planned by the Talent Cultivation Project Group for Energy Expert and BK Plus Energy ODA Project Group (leader: Hwa-taek Han) exchanged the MOU on behalf of Dean Yi. Total of 10 people including Professor Hyeon-guk Myeong, Byeong-ha Gang, Gyeong-geun Park, Jung-gyeong Kim, and Hui-jun Yi and students from the graduate course in the Department of Mechanical Systems Engineering as well as about 20 people including Dean Dedi Priadi and Nasruddin and students of the College of Engineering in University of Indonesia participated in the agreement ceremony and workshop held on this day. In the workshop, research areas per laboratory in both universities were introduced while discussing detailed measures of international cooperation for the joint study of energy field and exchange students.
Founded in 1849, the University of Indonesia is the best academic institution in Indonesia and currently, 46,000 students are registered there. In the recent university evaluation, it was ranked 201st in the world and was in the top 60s in Asia.
The leader Han revealed, “It is expected to get consistently supported for excellent research manpower from the University of Indonesia by inducing two students from the graduate course of Kookmin University. From this point onwards, we plan to have a more advanced international exchange, such as short-term training during vacation and joint cyber lecture.”
